Located right next to the Patna Junction railway station, it is renowned as a “Manokamana” temple where devotees believe their wishes are fulfilled.
- Twin Statues of Lord Hanuman: A unique feature of this temple is the presence of two Hanuman idols in the main sanctum—one for the fulfillment of the good and the other for the destruction of the wicked.
- Floating Stone: Visitors can see a “floating stone” from the Ram Setu era, which is kept in a glass urn on the first floor. This stone weighs about 15 kg and remains afloat in water.
- Naivedyam Laddoos: The temple is famous for its “Naivedyam” laddoos, which are prepared by experts from Tirupati using pure ghee and besan. They are widely considered among the most delicious temple offerings in India.
- Vast Charitable Work: The Mahavir Mandir Trust is one of the richest in the region and runs several philanthropic projects, including the Mahavir Cancer Sansthan, Mahavir Vatsalya Hospital, and free meals (Daridranarayan Bhoj) for the needy every afternoon.
- Architecture and Layout: The temple underwent a major reconstruction in the 1980s. It features a grand structure with multiple levels housing idols of various deities, including Lord Shiva, Rama, and Krishna, along with a serene meditation area.
