Fuel Operator

We are looking for a reliable, vigilant, and customer-oriented Fuel Operator (Petrol Pump Attendant) to join our service team in Patna, the bustling administrative and commercial capital of Bihar. As a vital part of the city’s transport lifeline, you will be responsible for providing high-quality service to the thousands of commuters, commercial fleets, and government vehicles that keep Patna moving.

Key Responsibilities

• Fuel Dispensing: Accurately operate dispensing units for Petrol, Diesel, and CNG, ensuring the exact quantity is delivered as per the customer’s requirement.
• Payment Handling: Efficiently manage cash, credit/debit card transactions, and digital UPI payments, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately in the daily log.
• Safety Protocols: Strictly enforce petrol pump safety rules (no smoking, switching off engines/mobiles) and maintain a clean, hazard-free environment near the dispensing islands.
• Ancillary Services: Provide basic vehicle checks, including tire pressure monitoring (air/nitrogen), oil level checks, and windshield cleaning to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Inventory Assistance: Help the station manager during the arrival of fuel tankers, assisting with dip-stick measurements and ensuring safe offloading procedures.
• Customer Service: Greet every visitor with a professional “Namaste” and assist them in Hindi or local dialects (Bhojpuri/Magahi/Maithili) to ensure a pleasant experience.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: 8th or 10th pass minimum; must be able to read digital meters and printed receipts.
• Math Skills: Ability to perform quick mental math for calculating totals and returning the correct change.
• Communication: Fluency in Hindi is a must. The ability to understand local dialects is highly preferred for interacting with diverse local drivers.
• Personal Traits: High level of honesty, physical endurance for long shifts, and a calm attitude when dealing with high-traffic periods in a busy urban setting.

Experience

• 0–2 years preferred; prior experience in the retail or fueling industry is a plus.
• Freshers are welcome to apply, provided they demonstrate a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.
• Basic knowledge of BS-VI engine fuel requirements and digital payment apps (PhonePe, Google Pay, etc.) is highly valued.
