Mechanic

We are looking for a skilled, reliable, and efficient Mechanic to join our service team in Patna, a major transit hub for Bihar. The ideal candidate should have strong vehicle diagnostic skills and experience handling private cars, tourist taxis (SUVs), commercial vehicles, and auto-rickshaws that navigate the city’s busy urban and highway routes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnosis & Repair: Inspect, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues in various vehicle makes and models.
• Routine Maintenance: Perform regular servicing, oil changes, and preventive maintenance to ensure passenger safety on long-distance routes like Patna–Gaya or Patna–Muzaffarpur.
• Parts Management: Identify and replace faulty parts accurately, ensuring the use of genuine spares to maintain vehicle longevity.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed service and repair records for individual vehicles or fleet clients.
• Workshop Safety: Ensure the workshop remains clean, organized, and compliant with all safety standards.
• Customer Interaction: Explain repair requirements and estimated costs clearly to customers (Hindi or local dialects preferred).

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: ITI / Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering is highly preferred.
• Vehicle Knowledge: Good knowledge of commonly used vehicle brands in North India (e.g., Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, Tata, and Hyundai).
• Technical Proficiency: Ability to use modern diagnostic scanners, mechanical tools, and lifting equipment.
• Traits: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and an honest, responsible work ethic.

Experience:

• 2–5 years preferred in multi-brand service centers, authorized dealerships, or reputable local garages.
• Experience with BS-VI engines, electrical systems, and fuel injection systems is a significant advantage.
